Vohra faces hostile audience in KU

Srinagar, May 21 : In Srinagar, Governor Narender Nath Vohra on Wednesday faced hostile audience in the Kashmir University when a scribe interrupted his speech and hurled hard questions on occupied territory’s energy loot.
A scribe Syed Abbas Ali Rizvi who is associated with a local Urdu daily Alsafa disrupted Governor Narender Nath Vohra’s speech on energy at the University of Kashmir crying: “Our energy is being looted. What you are saying on stage is utopian. It exists only on files. Our water resources are being robbed in reality. Development is a hoax. Reality here is terrible.”
The Governor was speaking at the inaugural function of the international workshop at KU on energy in which delegates from the international universities participated. The event was a public relation disaster leaving the Governor, who is also the Chancellor of KU embarrassed.
After this the Governor reacted, “I could not hear what you said. Rizvi stood up again and said: “We boycotted elections. Eighty per cent people boycotted.”
Indian troops took no time and arrested the scribe. Vohra cut short his speech and left from the spot.
