Make Eidgah Chalo program a success: Bhat

Srinagar, May 19: In Srinagar, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement and APHC leader, Zaffar Akbar Bhat has appealed people to make Eidgah Chalo program a success.

In a statement, Bhat said APHC and other liberation leaders’ pledges commitment to the freedom movement and will take forward the Kashmir righteous struggle.  He said that we have to remember the sacrifices of our martyrs who laid their lives and sacrificed everything for the freedom.

He said that Indian Congress has to play a responsible role in solving Kashmir issue as per the aspirations of the people of Kashmir.

“The first prime minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru has promised of granting right to self determination to Kashmiris and it was he who took the issue to UN. Now, it becomes mandatory on the new dispensation at india to solve the issue as per the aspirations of Kashmiri people,” Bhat said.

He said that India should see the writing on the wall and initiate tripartite dialogue on Kashmir issue for taking it to the logical conclusion.

Bhat condemned the human rights violations being committed by troopers in Kashmir. “The international human rights organisations should intervene and pressurize Indian government to stop its troops from committing HR violations in Kashmir,” he said.
