Delhi police involved in Zahoor’s missing
Srinagar, July 26: The family members of a missing youth said that it seems direct involvement of the Delhi Police in disappearance of 25-year old Zahoor Ahad Mir in Indian capital city Delhi. 25-year old Zahoor Ahad Mir of Sepdan Budgam, went missing in New Delhi on July 7. He last called his home on July 6 and inquired about the health of his mother, Raja Begum.
“After following Zahoor’s disappearance case in Delhi, I feel that Delhi police has a role in his disappearance”, said his uncle, Ghulam Mohammad Mir, who is camping in Delhi for last 17 days.
The family of the missing youth has already lodged a report in local police station Sepdan, Budgam and another missing report in Police station Shakarpore, New Delhi.
“I fear that Zahoor has been lodged by Delhi Police in a cell somewhere in Delhi otherwise where else can he go,” Zahoor’s uncle Ghulam Mohammad Mir told Rising Kashmir over phone from Delhi.
He said DP officials are now insisting him to return to Kashmir. “They say Zahoor must be safe and will call back soon”
Mir said, “If DP officials say it with conviction, then it proves that they must be aware of the whereabouts of Zahoor. If somebody would have killed him, his body would have been traced so for. I fear he has been lodged in a cell somewhere in Delhi by DP cops.”
Back home, Zahoor’s family members are worried about his safety and security. “I suspect he is in Delhi Police custody. That is why DP men are insisting my brother to return to Kashmir,” Zahoor’s father Haji Ghulam Nabi told Rising Kashmir.
He said, “As a shawl worker, I worked hard so that my kids receive good education. Zahoor wanted to enroll for PHD in Delhi and worked in a private telecom company to meet his expenses. My son is innocent and has never been involved in any militant activity.”
He appealed the hr rights groups to disclose the whereabouts of his missing son.
